Bridge Builder is a unique computer-aided design package that brings a real life engineering problem into the classroom for hands-on problem solving.
Students are challenged to apply their math and science skills to design a bridge capable of supporting a 40 ton truck. Bridge Builder teaches engineering feel through experimentation.
The program incorporates a custom computer-aided design (CAD+) system with editing features such as joint shifts and deletes, member deletes, size changes and strength inquires.
A friendly user interface combined with entertaining animation make Bridge Builder appropriate for grades 6-12.
