2. Is there a way to print a model actual size?

Yes.  There is a print utility that you can download.

3. Is there a way to increase the size of the ModelSmart window?

Yes.  The upgrade found here ( ModelSmart v1.65 ) has the ability to dynamically resize the monitor's resolution settings.

4. What does the error message "Large Displacements - Analysis Halted" mean?

This error can be caused by inadequate supports - make sure your model is attached to the outside world with an adequate set of supports such as a hinge and x-roller or other combination of supports.  Supports should provide fixity in the x and y directions as well as prevent rotation.

This error can also be caused by improperly connected members. Use the "Members|Show Members" menu option to make sure members start and stop at joints.  You should not see a joint in the interior of a member.  (This starting and stoping at joints, is how you tell the program which members are connected - and not that a member is necessarily cut at that location.

Also use the "Joints|Show attached Members" menu option to scroll through the joints to make sure all joints are connected properly and that there are no unconnected joints.

"Large Displacements" means that when the load was applied a joint in the model moved over 12 inches.
